No son muchos años de vida los que contemplan la carrera de Zombie Valentines pero resultan más que suficientes para haberles convertido en una de las realidades más sólidas y excitantes del pop nacional.

En el 2010 irrumpieron en la escena española con un ep, hoy pasto de coleccionistas, de fresco pop y rock’n’roll en castellano deudor de bandas como Brincos, Cheyenes o Salvajes, así como de luminarias de la nueva ola como Romantics o Elvis Costello.

Siempre inquietos, rebosantes de conocimiento musical y talentosos como pocos, nos regalaron el año siguiente un apabullante y caleidoscópico lp donde ampliaban la paleta de sonidos de la banda, garage, beat, psyche-pop, r’n’r instrumental, powerpop… Demostraron que pocos terrenos se les resistían y consiguieron que crítica y público se rindieran irremediablemente a sus pies.

En el 2014 regresan Zombie Valentines, o lo que es lo mismo David Lorenzo (guitarra, voz), Eneko Ezquerro (bajo), Alberto Hernández (guitarra, voz) y Gabriel Cuesta (batería).

Lo hacen con cuatro nuevos temas de composición propia, disparos de rock’n’roll con sensibilidad pop, surrealismo de amaneceres embriagados, sensualidad femenina y clasicismo beat, todo recogido en 7” pulgadas de negro vinilo que al igual que anteriores entregas de la banda tardarán poco en desaparecer.

After one long sold-out debut ep of pure pop with its roots in Spanish 60’s beat and new wave (think of a mix between Brincos and Romantics), in 2011 they gave us a brilliant and kaleidoscopic lp where they broadened their music palette with garage, instro-rock, psyche pop or powerpop.
